Before we could do anything with the furntiure my husband stained the deck. Here's a little before and after- didn't he do a great job?!
The "floor" of the deck is actually a composite material so that didn't need to be stained- just the surrounding railings. We chose a darker stain than what was originally done and I really love the results.
After spending some quality time in the basement with an allen wrench the Ikea Arholma lounge furniture is assembled and in place!
The quality of the Arholma is great and the assembly was fairly simple, but most importantly it is super comfy! I still need the decorative pillows and some other accessories but it's getting there!
Your deck looks wonderful, especially after you stained it. I also prefer a darker stain as it seems more appealing. I like how the railings blended well with your sofa and even with your luscious green lawn. The area looks so comfy! Do you have plans of adding more fixtures there?
