Last week I posted my design board for my family room and now I'm finally ready to reveal what it looks like today!
But first let's take a look at the before...
The wall color was a very pink- beige and it overall was pretty plain.
And here's what it looks like today!
Letters are from Ballard Designs
Striped Pillow is Pottery Barn
Pattern pillow is made by yours truly! (with some help from Mom) Fabric from Fabric.com
New Coffee table was actually an Ikea hack. It's the Vittsjo nesting table and I made a wood top for it. I got the idea and the step by step instructions from Park West Design blog!
Gorgeous new Satara Edison rug c/o Rugs USA It is so well made in person, photos don't do it justice!
And last but not least- the wall color is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray SW7016.
Changing the wall color made a huge difference in the space!
It looks fab! I love the typesetter letters on the wall!

ReplyDeletethanks Julie!
DeleteI love love this room. It's totally my style. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of doing a similar wood top to a long Vittsjo TV bench.
ReplyDeleteI know it's not rated for very much load because of the glass top, but if it the glass was replaced with wood, do you think it would be sturdy enough for an adult to sit on? (I'm thinking of using it as a long, low bench in a hall area).
If you sat on that coffee table, would it be sturdy or a bit nerve-wracking?
You did a beautiful job! Just wondering why you didn't use the other piece? I am thinking of doing this too, but I think the size looks a little too small with just the one table. Thank you for sharing :)
